The intimate dance of seawater and rock. The shallow tide gently flows over a jumbled assortment of moss-covered rocks, each in its own unique design and positioning, creating a dynamic work of art that is both natural and peaceful. The rocks appear haphazardly placed, but they are harmoniously settled into the scene, as if arranged in that way by nature. Their tops cooled in rich, green algae and moss, the rocks appear vibrant and almost luminescent under the clear, rolling surface of the tide.
While the sky isn’t particularly dramatic, the soft, filtering sunlight nevertheless creates a beautifully, soft gold sheen on the scene, that softly reflects on the water as it rolls with the tide. Bubbles and foam drift lazily along the surface of the water long as the tide pushes gently against the rocks, white streaks punctuating the blacks, greens, and earth-browns of the rocky terrain below the surface.
The water is so clear, you can see the layered greenery of the seaweed – even the little pebbles beneath! – detailing the layers of textures below the surface, giving it an almost 3D appearance. It is at this quiet, undisturbed moment along the rocky shore that feels comfortably alive, belonging and disconnected from the rest of the world; it captures an instant in the interaction between earth and ocean.
Part of it evokes the sensation of a hidden sanctuary – that previously untouched portion of the earth where time moves more slowly, and the small, detailed moments in nature quietly whisper to our silent observation of the little details.
